I have a cavalcade of messages from year members, mostly good news this time, Romany White is being supported by several year members who have all met up recently which must be gratifying.
Libby Jurd was an honorary member of our year and Steve has a band of trusty mates who have been supporting him though his tough times after Libby’s death [stream for funeral: Elizabeth Jurd]. They occasionally meet up at the Union at Sydney Uni for coffee. It was there a couple of years back that Steve

Last Wednesday was the funeral of RPA neurologist Dr John Allsop aged 101. He is one of the last of our medical tutors to pass away (I know only one other alive). John was famed at RPA for his annual lecture on abnormal gaits, getting rounds of laughter for his schooled demonstrations. He was not amused.
We need
to do what King Leah did but learn from his mistakes: “It is our fast intent to
shake all cares and business from our age, conferring them on younger
strengths, while we unburdened crawl toward death.”
